In more innocent times, spotting someone stumbling the booze-soaked streets of Garnet and Grand after last call with red shit around their mouth meant they probably just did some street brawlin' at Ramiro's or the hot dog stand between Typhoon and Tavern.

No longer.



The U-T tells us about the opening of a new BBQ spot in the heart of the Garnet action -- and they stay open till 2:00 a.m.


 
Ribs or a knuckle sandwich?  Confusing times indeed.

You don't win friends with salad: Limonz Gourmet Salads, which closed last year, (978 Garnet Ave., Pacific Beach) has been replaced with Gloria's BBQ. The interior isn't structurally that different from before, but the menu is decidedly meatier. The menu features BBQ staples like ribs, sweet potato fries, coleslaw and pork sandwiches, and the 2 a.m. closing time is PB bar-scene friendly.
